Roman Iron Age Finger Ring from women’s grave

Part of a very rich find in 1929 at Stevns, Denmark, this ring was found together with other pieces of jewellery in the 'women's grave'. Her tomb was finally excavated in 1949 with further discoveries in 1977 including this finger ring, another ring and two bracelets, all in gold. In addition, there were several fibulae of silver, a necklace and a varied pearl necklace with glass, amber and silver beads, one pierced coin and a small silver amulet can.
