Late Iron Age (900-1200 AD) buckle in horseshoe form found in bronze at the burial mound Lubumuiza in Trikata county in Latvia. Horseshoe shaped buckles were popular in Latvia from 10th-13th Century. They were used both by men and women, the less was for shirts and dresses, the bigger the shawls, cloaks and capes. This buckle is similar in form and ornamentation ranging found in Estonia.
